I've been missing looking after the neighbors' cats - Baron and Nellie. Baron, the tuxedo black and white male cat, became quite friendly by the second day, and Nellie, the cat I thought didn't really exist as I've never seen her, showed up the last day and even let me pet her for a moment. We were getting to know each other and then I had to leave. How sad. Nellie as it turned out was hiding under the bed cover. I did see a lump there but it never occurred to me that it could be her. I guess she (rightly so it seems) thought if I can't see them they can't see me. Quite clever, I might add.
To comfort myself, I've been indulging in some cat photos...
How many cats do you see in this photo? For the longest time I only saw the gray one on the bottom right. And then, all of a sudden, the rest appeared. I swear, they were not there before.
Lounging, I love lounging and taking siestas. And, I hear, cats do too. "Dimanche apres-midi" - a wonderful painting by the surealist painter Leonor Fini (one of my favorite artists). A specal kind of bond that's portrayed so wonderfully here.
Obsessed? Why, I have no idea what you mean. Hm, all right, let's call it a cat enthusiast.
xoxoxo

funny things cats. ours genuinely do believe that if they stand behind the curtains, we'll never find them. we could be standing right over them, but if the curtain is in front of them, then it's ok because according to them, they can never be found. silly things, but i love them!
