Although it feels like we already had our Autumn, here in San Francisco, instead of our summer - what with the unusually low temperatures, and more than our usual share of fog - I am still looking forward to Autumn and eagerly awaiting it. Beautiful colors and smells, pumpkins, chestnuts, crunchy leaves under my feet, shorter days and cozy evenings, hot tea, wind, beautiful Autumn colors. And scarves. I have a sudden desire to wrap a soft warm scarf around my neck. But that may be because I have a cold and a sore throat and am in need of something soft and warm to keep me under the illusion of being comfortable.
I'm also in the mood for some Autumn shopping. Will you join me?

Fantastic plush fox (by ThreeOwls)
Recently there has been a sighting of a rare red fox in the Sierras. I think it must have been this little fellow. He looks quite dapper in his little outfit. As if he's taken special care to look his best now that he's venturing into the world again.

Antique 1900 Victorian Edwardian leather lace up military steampunk boots (at simplicityisbliss)
Worn by explorers, adventurous, dare devils and an occasional wartime nurse.
These are may absolute dream boots. Unfortunately they are both too small and rather pricey. Ah well. Good thing I won't be going gallivanting through the jungles of Borneo any time soon and therefore won't be in desparate need of such boots.

Vintage 60s boho Autumn floral tapestry blazer at (jessamity)
I haven't thought about tapestry coats, bags and other tapestry related items for a while now. There was a time (way waay back) when I was very much into it. But after seeing the latest Sherlock Holmes several months ago and the travel tapestry bags they carried back then, I'm back on that train.

30s 40s style vista slacks in brown wool by (Jitterbuggin)
I'm so in love with these kind of pants. Very feminine and very flattering. Don't they just make you want to put on the reddest lipstic you have and go jitterbugging? Sailor pants are also a favorite.

Homespun hand embroidered linen bag at (5gardenias)
For your this and that. I'm so addicted to my over-sized bags, as I have a need to carry tons of stuff with me wherever I go. Stuff I never use. It would be liberating to just grab this lovely thing containing your lipstick, a coin purse, some candy and be on your way.

Love the fabric and the quarter length sleeves are adorable and so chic. To be worn with fedora, this jacket and some toll riding boots.

Antique Victorian Edwardian bracelet at (VintageTreasures1923)
All things Victorian seem to be catching my eyes these days. This bracelet is so unique and very romantic. Beautifully handcrafted. Perhaps it used to belong to a beautiful, free spirited, somewhat haunted thinker, writer and philosopher, with an eye for unusual jewelry.

Violet - 20s or 30s oil painting portrait deco Hollywood style at (dixielarue)
Subtle, autumnal, sepia tones enveloping this lovely portrait. Would look lovely as a part of my portrait wall. One day! Violet somehow suits her well, don't you think?

And... last, I think I would really like to sweep my kitchen floor this Autumn with some...
