We treated ourselves to a delicious brunch at one of our favorite Indian restaurants - Viva Goa and half a dozen of Kara's Cupcakes. What could be better.
Soon, they will all be gone...

I'm so thankful my art is my work and I get to do every day what I love doing. So very thankful for my supportive, wonderful and understanding husband. Thankful we live in one of the most wonderful places in the world. Also, importantly, thank you Earth for being such a gracious host. I convinced my husband to give me my Valentine's Day present early. I'm bad with presents, you see. I cannot control my curiosity and my impatience gets the better of me. :)
So, let me introduce my Valentine's Heart...
Oh, yes, I got a vintage anatomical heart model for Valentine's. Just what a romantic girl with a little bit of a goth in her would desire. :) I mentioned in one of my previous posts on my bell jar how I would like an anatomical heart model, and indeed my husband gave me one. I love it so!
I couldn't help doing a little photo shoot, featuring our African masks...
The heart is supposed to be a model of a frog heart. Does that matter? I don't think so, frogs fall in love too, right? :)
The model comes from the late 19th century Germany, we think, and was found at my favorite antique store ARIA.
I love all the numbers on it, marking different parts...
The colors and the arteries...

Well, I suppose you are not going to give someone a purse with pictures of yourself wearing nothing but some knickers and a bra. Except, perhaps... to your boyfriend's/husband's ex-girfriend? (Some unnecessary advice: Only if you look really good in knickers and a bra.)

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Hope you'll have a lovely one. I've been very busy lately with my papercuts and jewlery but tomorrow I'm taking a day off and instead spending most of the day cooking. I 'm looking forward to it actually. I wish there was a reason to make a feast every day! I should have been a chef. The only thing I wouldn't like about being a chef is all the stress. I like to cook slowly and while cooking enjoy some of my special "cooking" wine. :D
Since we are vegetarian, there will be no turkey but there will be all the other favorite dishes. No tofurkey though either! I'm making this incredible stuffed pumpkin. It looks great as a centrepiece and it tastes delicious (the stuffing in particular). Here is the link to the recipe if anybody's interested - stuffed pumpkin.
I've also heard of this Bruno Pie that is supposed to be delicious, but since I couldn't get hold of the main ingredient (the dog) at such short notice I will have to leave it out and try it next year. :D
