Shop update

Hello!

Sorry for the lack of posts! I've been busy busy with my shop, some custom orders, and preparing for the upcoming holiday season. The regular posting will probably resume after the Holidays. Till then I'll try and post when I can!

And, just a quick note to say that the bracelets are back in the shop! The frst batch sold out really quickly. These are the designs I have now in stock (although, if you'd like to have a bracelet with any of my other designs, no problem, I can custom make it for you. Just ask!)...

Belles de Jour

These past few months have been busy and creative ones. I've made a whole lot of new jewelry designs, new papercuts and paintings. So, therefore there's been a lot of updates and announcements on this blog! :)

Tonight I have one more update to share with you: some new lockets, pendants, bracelets and brooches which found their place in my second shop on Etsy. Alice in Wonderland - new papercut and jewelry in the shop

Hello!

I have a new papercut to share with you today. For a while now I've had lots of requests to create an Alice in Wonderlan Papercut, so finally, a few days ago I finally found time to do it!

So, here it is...

I'm very pleased how the papercut turned out. Seeing Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum peeking out from behind the tree makes me smile every time I look at it.

The Love Story Necklace was created using prints of my papercut images set under clear cabochon domes, size 3/4" x 1/2" each, an antiqued silver-plated necklace, and a delicate silver-plated chain. The Love Story Bracelet was created using prints of my papercut images set under clear cabochon domes, size 3/4" x 1/2" each, an antiqued silver-plated bracelet base, and a delicate heart charm that dangles from the clasp. This special piece is 7.5 inches long (standard bracelet length) and comes with a certificate of authenticity in a gift box.

I've just finished my new painting, photographed it and here she is... ready to be introduced. So, please meet Imogen...

Shop update!

Another week flew by and I haven't even blinked once! 

I've been so busy lately with my shop and orders that I have completely forgotten about this little blog. Hopefully I'll have more time for it this week.

I've been repeatedly asked if I would make necklaces featuring some of my dancer papercut designs. I've finally managed to do it, so, today the shop was successfully updated with some dancer necklaces as well as some of my other designs...

Collecting and creating

A few snapshots of things I've been collecting and creating lately...

A tiny 5x3" painting of a Salem Witch by Naomy Hughes. As soon as I saw it I had to have it. Love the expression on her little face.

My collection of vintage photos is growing. Click to expand and see the photos in more detail. I'm particularly fond of the three gals in the bottom left corner, heading for a picknick, dated 1922.

I was so excited to stumble onto the 1942 bottle of morphine from Liverpool, marked "poison" (empty, of course:). I love apothecary jars and this was indeed a wonderful find. As was the huge rusty skeleton key, beautiful blue japanese glass fishing ball and a delicate sea fan coral.

I've been playing and experimenting with the idea of creating some glass locket-type necklaces with my original tiny papercuts in them. This is one of the examples I've made. There might be several available in my shop soon.
