For the past several days I've been seriously searching for that perfect dress I will wear when husband wins an Oscar for the best adapted screenplay, adapted from his own novel. What can I say. I like to prepare, and be ready. Well, not usually, or, only when it comes to clothes. Also, I've been developing this fascination with floral gowns, particularly the ones from the 50s. Floral gowns can on occasion, or most of the time, look a little bit tacky, over the top and distasteful, so I was up for a challenge. But, I can get a little bit obsessive when I want something, and never, never give up untill I find it. So after several long nights spent searching the internet and perusing through old magazines, I found it. The perfect evening floral gown from 1954, by Jacques Fath:
The front of the dress is a mystery, but I know it looks spectacular.
I also decided that it would be best if the world around me would change to black and white for the evening. We want the dress to get the best exposure possible.
Now, all I need to do to acquire this dress is...
xoxoxo
