I'm slowly starting to play with my bell jar installation. I've added a couple of things to the assembly under the glass dome:
- a vintage bisque china porcelain doll head, which I just love and I'm planning to get a few more doll parts to my collection, maybe even make some into necklaces (this doll head was dug up around a doll factory in Thuringia, Germany which operated between 1890-1920)
- and behind the doll you can see an antique optical lens, which I've already worn on a chain as a necklace. It's fun to find multiple uses for these objects.
The next thing on my wish list: an anatomical heart model, small enought to fit inside my bell jar.

HI Tina
I think the heart model would be perfect... a little tongue in cheek!! Wouldn't mind that optical lens and dolls head also... Great ideas.. I have a few cloches but not quite as nice as this glass dome of yours..
Have fun xx Julie

This 19th century Bell Jar is sure wonderful!
your husband is so cute for getting it for you :)
This is a great idea for room decorating, so vintage, and so diverse - you have no limits, can put inside it almost everything!
If I were you, I would buy even a few more..
