I have a great wish to make our living room look like part old apothecary, part Holmes study, part mad Victorian scientist laboratory, part Joseph Cornell studio. I've been slowly collecting apothecary jars, broken doll parts, stereoscopes, frog heart models, unusual plants, glass cloches, fossil specimens and weird illustrations. I had some luck with treasure hunting lately and will share the finds soon. The photos below perfectly illustrate what I would feel good surrounded by at the moment...
Now that I've shared these I just realized they are mostly of apothecary and other odd jars. Have I missed my vocation? Not of being a pharmacist, no, that would have been too ordinary. Perhaps a snake oil salesman at the carnival? :) Come forth, ladies and gents, I've got a cure for everything...

Yes, wonderful. You would really enjoy an artist named Martha Glowacki. Here is a link to a Photostream of some of her work: http://www.flickr.com/photos/64571484@N04/page1/

Allow me to express my unreserved admiration. You have built up a truely remarkable collection. At times a bit scary but nontheless absolutely impressive.
