I can't believe it's been more than a year since my last post! Every day I keep reminding myself to blog tomorrow. All of my "to do" lists start with "start blogging again... tomorrow." And then, day after day, all of sudden, it's not simply just another tomorrow, it's a year and a half later!
How did this happen?
So, here I am again.
I feel like I'm blogging for the first time, ineloquent and awkward and technologically inept. (Hey, people, I'm still not tweeting!) It seems somehow appropriate to quote myself from my first ever post (from June 2008!)....
"I have no idea if anybody will ever read my blog, if anybody will ever be a witness to me disentangling all sorts of things and meanings, if anybody will ever acknowledge my presence here...but that's all right, I will make an attempt. I feel a bit like a certain Reginald Fessenden, from Brant Rock, Massachusetts, who in 1906 made the first radio voice broadcast...he played his violin, sang a song, read a bible verse or two (worry not, I will not attempt to convert you to my ir-religion or make you read my poetry or listen to me play harmonica)...and the rest is history. I will babble with unflagging resolve and stray along the wrong roads and make numerous mistakes, but eventually I hope I will find my voice that will speak a truth or two to you and to me..."
Ha ha... such a long time ago... it almost feels like it was 1908 and not 2008.
A good thing about not blogging for a year is that I will probably not be lacking themes and subjects for a while. Lots of things happened. Lots of pictures got taken. Lots of art got made. Lots and lots to share.
So, here I go... I'd like to share my newest papercut piece, Jane Eyre...
Jane Eyre Hand-Cut Papercut by Tina Tarnoff
The papercut was inspired by one of my favorite literary characters. It speaks of inner calm, passion of emotion, firmness of belief, and love of magical nature.
Here are several of my jewelry pieces featuring Jane...
You can click on the images to see the pieces in my shop.

Ta da! I did it! There's something off my "to do" list. Feels good to be back.
Fingers crossed I'll will continue to be back with more posts! :)
xoxo
I love it!!
